Supplier CSV to Shopify CSV Converter
Turn a supplier product CSV into a cleaner, Shopify-oriented CSV without manually rebuilding the spreadsheet column by column.
Upload your supplier file, map its columns, apply repeatable cleaning rules, review validation issues, and export the result. CatalogEaze processes the catalog in your browser during the cleaning workflow.
Convert a supplier CSV →1. Upload
Start with a supplier CSV containing product information such as titles, SKUs, prices, inventory, tags, descriptions or image URLs.
2. Map
Match supplier-specific column names to the Shopify-oriented fields your catalog needs. Automatic suggestions can be reviewed and changed manually.
3. Clean
Apply deterministic rules for whitespace, prices, duplicates, tags, handles and other supported catalog cleanup tasks.
4. Validate
Review blocking errors and warnings before exporting so obvious data problems can be investigated before the Shopify import step.
Why supplier CSV files need conversion
Supplier spreadsheets rarely use the same structure as a Shopify product CSV. A supplier might call a column Product Name, Item Code, Sell Price or Main Image, while the destination workflow expects different field names and relationships.
The problem becomes more complicated when a file contains variants, repeated product rows, different price formats, inconsistent tags, missing values or image URLs spread across multiple columns.
Shopify's current product CSV documentation describes specific requirements and dependencies for fields such as Title, URL handle, variants, Price and product images. New product imports require a Title, while variant-related data can depend on other variant columns. Shopify also specifies that monetary Price values should be supplied without a currency symbol and that product CSV files use UTF-8.
What CatalogEaze does to a supplier CSV
Column mapping
Translate supplier headers into Shopify-oriented fields instead of rebuilding the destination spreadsheet manually.
Price normalization
Recognize supported formats such as currency symbols, thousands separators and international decimal formatting, then normalize recognized values for processing.
Duplicate detection
Identify duplicate source rows and review repeated product or SKU information before export.
Whitespace cleanup
Remove accidental leading and trailing whitespace without destroying meaningful spaces inside product descriptions or sentences.
Handles and tags
Generate supported product handles and clean supported tag values according to the selected supplier rules.
Image URL checks
Check image URL formatting and surface supported problems for review before the file reaches Shopify.
Variant-aware processing
Work with simple products or variant-aware supplier files and review variant-related mappings separately.
Before / after review
Compare input and output information and review changes instead of blindly downloading a transformed spreadsheet.

- Review the generated CSV and Shopify import result before using it for a large production catalog.
Common supplier CSV problems
Different column names
Suppliers often use their own naming conventions. A mapping layer lets the same supplier workflow be reused instead of starting from scratch for every file.
Mixed price formats
A catalog may contain values such as
€149,99,
$1,299.99 or
₹49,999.50.
Supported formats can be normalized before validation.
Duplicate rows
Supplier exports can contain exact duplicate records or repeated identifiers that need review before import.
Missing titles or values
Blank required data can cause import problems. Missing fields should be surfaced before the destination import rather than discovered afterwards.
Variant dependencies
Product variants are not just additional columns. Fields can depend on option names, option values, handles and other variant information.
Image URLs
Product image fields need correctly formatted URLs that Shopify can retrieve during import.
What makes this different from manually editing a CSV?
Spreadsheet editing works well for small, predictable files. The work becomes repetitive when the same supplier sends a new export every week or every month.
CatalogEaze lets you keep supplier-specific mappings and deterministic cleaning rules so the workflow can be repeated. You can then review the resulting errors, warnings and changes before generating another Shopify CSV.
This makes the tool particularly useful for ecommerce operators working with supplier feeds, wholesale catalogs, dropshipping catalogs and other product spreadsheets that were not originally designed around Shopify's column structure.
Keep your catalog data in your browser
The current CatalogEaze cleaning workflow is browser-first. Your source CSV is parsed and processed in the browser instead of being intentionally uploaded as raw catalog rows to CatalogEaze application storage.
Authenticated workspace information such as your supplier profile configuration and lightweight job-history metadata can be stored so your workspace can persist across sessions.
This means the tool can provide a repeatable workflow without requiring your complete supplier catalog to be stored on a CatalogEaze application server.

Frequently asked questions
Can CatalogEaze convert any supplier CSV into a Shopify CSV?
CatalogEaze is designed for supplier product CSVs containing common ecommerce fields such as product names, SKUs, prices, inventory, descriptions, tags and image URLs. Different supplier headers can be mapped to Shopify-oriented fields. Highly unusual structures may still require manual review.
Does CatalogEaze support product variants?
Yes. The workflow includes simple and variant-aware modes so product and variant information can be mapped and reviewed separately.
Can it handle international prices?
The current engine recognizes supported international number formats, including common currency symbols, thousands separators and decimal conventions. Ambiguous values should be reviewed rather than guessed.
Is my supplier CSV uploaded to your server?
The current cleaning workflow processes the source CSV in your browser. Raw catalog rows are not intentionally uploaded to CatalogEaze application storage.
Will the exported CSV definitely import into Shopify?
No. CatalogEaze performs supported validation checks, but validation is not a guarantee that Shopify will accept, publish or display every row exactly as intended. Always review important production imports.
